Met Claudio...totally forgotten to ask him about the lyrics

That's the DTWS008 , 2nd Tebel release , only 350 pressed , hope you enjoy! Thanks mista Litelet for the Label once again! Btw in the video we used an old label with wrong matrix , on the 7'' will be correct DTWS008

Tebel crew, a reggae collective grown trough Italy and Jamaica, is proud to present its new tune!
Based and developed on an Abeng's musical idea (already edited by Dig This Way Records) here Tebel and D.T.W. are proud to introduce a Jonny Deambassador's new interpretation of "Grown In Captivity" entitled 7.05.
This number reminds to the morning hour when the alarm rings, so this new Tebel's one talks about the feeling had by conteporary wage-labour workers and specifically to the inner-crisis each one of them feels because of his everyday bad condition of living but in the last part of the song the lyric reachs the form of a freedom chant praised by the community of the people who works for an emancipation.
The message 7.05 finally would bring is to stand out different meanings the word "work" could assume and the difference between the concept of a mechanical work and a creative one.
ROOTS PEOPLE WORKS TO THE RHYTHM OF REGGAE MUSIC TO STEP OUT BABYLON ESTABLISHMENT!

Hi All

Ok i spoke to Claudio about lyrics

What he is explaining me is the following.
"No Bad Intention" has been the 1st track made by him , it was around 6/7 years ago and the vocal recording is taken from the original recordings like 90% of the riddim. At the time it was more or less an experiement for him and not really thought to be released.
It was my choice to keep this as it was originally as i was very used to this cut , i think i even played it at Corner 25 from a Poly some years back...anyway what Claudio is telling me is that , working on it nowdays he would have changed a number of things...he says it's sort of weird Patois and badly written English :camera:
The full story is that we have a 2nd cut of the riddim , a totally different take made with Med-Tone , faster and surely better recorded and equally good , which in the future we will use for a 12'' release and on which we will try to create an update vocal for the "no Bad Intention" with a more "expecienced" Abeng + possibly a 2nd vocal cut (something we honestly haven't done yet...not even thought about). There was some discussions (constructive ones) between me and Claudio to which release 1st and i've been pushing to work to the 1st cut (the one you see on the 7'') cause to me it has a good meaning as it's the track that lead us to work together on this project , together with "Grown In Captivity"
So , lyrics and construction of them may not be very precise...but hope i could give an explication to the reason why it's like that

(I) Seh me no want no bad intention pon the I man
(I) Seh me no want no bad intention
Babylon a teach me a repress di other
Babylon a teach me a hate one another
Bagga wire tell me a no respect di other
