I think it's the same group : the Soul Defenders were for a time the backing band at Studio One, with top notch tunes like Selection Train, Brimstone & Fire etc...
The New Era 7" is from 1984, which is later than the S1 period.
This Jah Love tune is produced by F. Harisson, and there are a few credits that shows a relation beteween the S1 stuff and this "Jah Love" tune.
First, the credits are to F.Harisson or E&N Harissson, and Popcorn Part 1 is by Tommy McCook and the Soul Defenders, on Triangle Of Love, same period than the S1 stuff (mid 70's).
There is another Soul Defenders tune on New Era, named Rainy Day, by Evolution.
There is a second tune by Evolution that is produced by E&N Harisson with Sould Defenders band : Just Because on Triangle Of Love.
After this, I found info on 2 other releases, but I can't say anything about it :
Sit Down & Wonder by Hopeton Jr, released on a Micron 7".
The Golden Moonlight, by The Ewartonians & The Soul Defenders, on 707 records.
