Originale de 1962 par Tony Joe White, c'est le cover de Brook Benton de 1970 qui l'a vraiment rendue célèbre. Classique repris des dizaines de fois, notamment en Jamaique par les Gladiators, Lord Tanamo, Tinga Stewart, John Holt, ou encore Watty Burnett chez lee Perry avec son Rainy night in Portland.
